Freelance
Project
The
Freelance Project is our job-training program designed to help students
at Youth in Focus further their professional opportunities while
developing their photography skills.
Students work as freelance photographers for Youth in Focus as we
partner with other non-profits to come up with fun and exciting
photo shoots. Participants in the Freelance program take pictures
all over Seattle, and earn money while doing it.
Through this project, Youth in Focus is able to offer low
cost photographic services to fill the visual imagery needs
of community organizations.
Our student freelance photographers can shoot images for newsletters,
websites, books, art exhibits, annual reports and various events.
The youth do all the shooting, printing, processing and developing.
By partnering with us you provide an opportunity for youth to gain
work experience and learn more about the community they live in.
For every assignment, the student photographers are paired up with
professional volunteer mentors who accompany them to the occasion.
The mentors are there to support, assist, and guide the youth as
they shoot the event for you.
We are always looking for new and exciting assignments for our youth
to shoot. Here are some of the agencies Youth in Focus photographers
have partnered with:
- Friends
of Seattle's Olmsted Parks
- Rainier Valley Historical Society
- Injury Free Prevention / Children's Hospital
- Low Income Housing Institute
|
|
- Pike Place Market Foundation
- Powerful Voices
- Treehouse
- Seattle Art Museum
- Youth Advocates
|
And
many more!
We offer Digital and Traditional B&W services.
