Congratulations to the Winners of the Exposure Values Photo Contest!

We were busy this summer!

The team spent July and August on a huge review and revamp of the organization’s mission and values and we were eager to unveil them to the public. As a way to make this an interactive experience (something I think we are all missing right now), we launched Exposure Values: A Photo Contest. We asked contestants to pick any two of our five new values: Inclusion, Creativity, Growth and Development, Courage and Risk Taking, and Equity, and then interpret them photographically.

In line with our new mission statement to amplify youth voice, a teen jury was formed to judge the entries and pick winners in each category. With guidance of Teaching Artist Isabel Dietz-Hartmann, the jury spent two days critiquing and analyzing the photos to determine which images stood out. You can check out this short video below to watch a bit of the process and hear from the teens themselves.
